Can you remap my car at work in Reading?
Yes, and a lot of our Reading customers book it this way. If you work at Green Park, Thames Valley Park, Reading International Business Park or anywhere with a car park you can leave the car in, we come during the working day. You hand over the keys, go back to your desk, and the car is done before you finish. It saves you a Saturday.
Do you charge extra to come to Reading?

Where does the car need to be parked?
Somewhere safe with room to work around it for about an hour. A driveway is ideal and a workplace car park is fine. A quiet residential street usually works too. Tell us the address when you book and we’ll confirm.
Is a remap worth it if I commute on the M4?
It’s one of the situations where it makes the most difference. A lot of Reading driving is steady motorway work, and more torque low down means the engine works less hard to hold speed. On a diesel doing those miles you’ll often see the economy improve rather than drop. Overtaking takes less effort too.
Do I need to be there while you work?
Someone needs to let us get to the car and hand over the keys. You don’t need to watch. Plenty of customers go back to work or back inside.
How long does it take?
Between 1 – 2 hours in most cases, including diagnostics and a road test.
Is it reversible?

Yes. A remap counts as a modification and has to be declared. Most insurers are fine with it. Not declaring is what causes problems.

Once you’ve had a Stage 1 or Stage 2 remap, your engine is making more torque than the gearbox was originally programmed to expect. By leaving the TCU standard, it will often pull power back to protect itself, or shift at points that no longer match where the engine is strongest.
